Family

There are only a few people in life that most of us are willing to truly love to the end and that is, of course, family. Just think of all the selfish, self-centered, and outrageous comments and behaviors you have encountered by people in your life, be it long or shorter, and you will probably see that mom, dad, brother, or sister's face attached to it.

  • Family never fails to develop us into who we are.

  • Family never fails to provide contrast into our lives

  • Family never fails to provide moments to remember for a lifetime.

Most of us can say we forgive families for putting us through so much but can we also remember that a "thank you" is in order. Harder yet to place is our very own roles in "family". Are we exempt from helping our family? Of course not. It is our obligation to help in any way:

  • develop them into who they are becoming

  • be the contrast in their lives, and

  • provide moments-of-a-lifetime

THANK YOU FAMILY!!

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:12-13

He's getting older!

Well, yet another year has flown by and Ethan is still adding to his repertoire of unique noises during all other activities, putting fresh holes in his new socks, adding new ones to all of his jeans, pulling his arms into his shirt and simultaneously over his knees just so he can hear mommy lovingly say, "Stop that! You are stretching that shirt out and it won't fit you anymore." However, there are a few things I no longer see our big boy do now, such as suck his thumb to go to sleep, use sign language for "drink", and expect mommy to freak out when he gets near an open stair case. No, he is now 8 and I can't do anything about it.

Ethan just completed his first year of soccer and is clearly a STAR in daddy and my eyes. The Father has been building such a kind spirit into this little man it is wonderful to watch this creation grow. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Isn't It GREAT!

My first time to blog...I Love technology. I am definately interested in an easy way to keepsake special sayings the kids come up with but I get so busy I forget to even write them on the calendar. I thought I would give myself just one more thing to do by trying this blog idea.
